Melvin Alli-Owe better known by his stage name, Melvitto began producing music in 2006, which derived from his love of music. In that same year, he joined forces with two childhood friends to form the Afro-beat group, A’won Boyz. The group released two mixtapes and a number of singles, giving them the opportunity to perform in front of over 10,000 people at the Nigerian Day Parade, which took place in New York City.
After many records, Melvitto’s first major hit came in 2012 with the group’s song “Azonto”. The success of this song along with a group debut album “#UNSIGNED” spurred a succession of college tours gaining recognition for the group and Melvitto as a producer.
In 2010, through mutual friends, Melvitto was introduced to Ayo Jay. At the time Ayo was new to the music industry, but with the help of Melvitto, the two became a dynamic duo that created great hits. Starting with “Jay Baby,” “Don’t Say That,” and “Your Number.” In 2016, “Your Number” became the largest hit record for Mel and Ayo, charting on the billboards and having remixes with Fetty Wap and Chris Brown. Melvitto started off as just a producer but now has developed skills such as songwriting, vocal arranging, and engineering. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Music Industry and Technology with honors.
