Bio

Ayoola Ogundeyi Jr., or ‘Ayo Jay’ as we all know him is an exceptionally talented and highly promising young singer and song writer. Born on 9 August 1989 in London, England, Ayo Jay was raised in Lagos, Nigeria.

Although he discovered his singing and song writing abilities at a tender age, he ruled out a career as a musician as he felt his shy personality would be better suited elsewhere rather being in the spotlight that comes with being a top artiste. More importantly, he did not think his parents, who placed a premium on higher education, would approve of a career in music.

In the year 2007, upon graduating from high school in Nigeria, Ayo Jay moved to the United States to pursue a college degree in Finance and Investments. During his spare time, he found himself either listening to, or writing and singing songs.

In 2011, Ayo Jay, who had previously ruled out a career in music, had a change of heart as friends and some family members recognized his immense talent and constantly urged him to try and develop it. It was then he started to reach out to several music producers to help transform his raw abilities and artistic ideas into top quality songs.

Ayo Jay describes his genre of music as African popular music, better known as Afro-beat, which is a fusion of African traditional music, Hip-pop and R&B. Ayo Jay graduated with a B.B.A. in Economics from Baruch College in May 2013, and subsequently signed a recording deal One Nation Entertainment. With his new singles billed to drop anytime soon, all evidence to date suggest that this young crooner, blessed with an outstanding voice, and an uncanny ability to effortlessly deliver catchy and meaningful lyrics, has a bright future ahead of him. It is only a matter of time before the world realizes what an exciting talent he is.

In 2015 Ayo toured across the U.S/U.K on the Ayo Jay and friends tour which featured Jidenna as an opening act. “Your Number” accumulated over 8.84m streams on Sound cloud and 3.2m streams on Spotify. 173 on the worldwide top 200 Shazam chart for week of May 30th.

2016 was a great year for Ayo, listed by Rolling Stone as one of “10 new artist you need to know”. Performing at one of the biggest Hot 97 reggae concerts on Governors Island. It didn’t stop there as Ayo was also apart of the Power House concert along side major artist such as, label mates Usher and Bryson Tiller, Young Jeezy, Young MA and more. 2017 is a New Year for you to look forward to the release of Ayo’s long awaited EP. The best has yet to come for this rising star.

BIO

Gabriel “Gabzy” Akinyemi was born January 22nd, 1996 in London. Gabzy is a talented uprising recording artist and songwriter. Akinyemi discovered his musical abilities at a young age as he sang in his school choir and enjoyed writing poems, some of which was published in his primary school newspaper. Gabzy didn’t see pursuing music in his future, but rather he had his eyes set on becoming a professional football player or a businessman.

In 2012, Gabzy started rap battling his fellow peers in his secondary school during break times. The battles were on a banter level and although it was all fun and games, the other students were impressed with his punch lines and wordplay. In summer 2012, after graduating from secondary school, Gabzy was approached by his good friend “Muizz” who wanted to start a movement called “The Good Life” which would consist of various artists. Gabzy accepted and devoted that summer into recording music at a friend’s house. Even though he never released the music he recorded, Gabzy would send his songs to his friends and family for feedback, most of which were very promising.

Gabzy’s seriousness in making music showed in 2014 when he wrote a song where he not only sang, but rapped on the track as well. He received much positive feedback towards the singing on the record. After being urged to make more music by friends and family, he then decided to work overtime at his part-time job in retail to have enough money for studio time and beats.

Gabzy went on to record his first song, “Taketime”? Which, he then sent to the record label One Nation after coming across their email. Gabzy describes his music as, “something you cannot put in a box” due to the fact that he can contribute to many genres such as; Hip-Hop, Afro-beats, Afro-pop, Pop, Dancehall, Reggae, R & B just to name a few.
